XMEye VMS is a free utility application from XMEye that allows you to manage the security cameras installed on your property. This video surveillance software enables you to monitor your CCTV setup via your computer. It uses cloud technologies and features a secure login to show you live views of videos instantly.

XMEye VMS works with various camera types, including IP cameras, DVR, and NVR. It can also connect to up to 64 devices at the same time and offers real-time monitoring by default. However, adding a device requires the IP address. Moreover, the configuration requires some technical knowledge.

Setting up your XMEye VMS

XMEye VMS is software for remote video surveillance that integrates all your connected security cameras into one interface. As mentioned the app works for various camera types and can add up to 64 devices. It offers real-time monitoring by default and supports local video recording and video playback. Although note that you need to always log in to your VMS client to save the videos to your device.

Getting started with the app is easy. Upon installation, you can start setting up by logging in to your account. Once done, you can start adding devices to the software. To do so, click the Device button from the System menu. Then, tap the Zone List and the Add Area option. Give the area name and click OK. Clicking the area name will then display the Add Device option.

Users should know that the app requires the IP address when adding the device. You can search for them or add them manually. You should also turn off any antivirus protection and firewalls to download and install the app. Moreover, the DVR system needs to be connected to your router via the Ethernet cable. Additionally, downloaded videos are encrypted and can only be played by the exclusive media player.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.
